Overview of the Asia Institute of Urban Environment

Purpose

This institution will contribute to exchange information about the Asian cities' environment and the improvement of science and technology in this field.

1. Promotion of the preservation of the environment
   
2. Promotion of the improvement of science and technologies
   
3. Management and/or assistance on the organizations to engage in the activities listed in the preceding clause
   
　

Types of Actions

1. Publication of activities in the above defined fields
   
2. Implementation of workshops and seminars
   
3. Collection and analyzing the information on the urban environment worldwide and publishing it as "Integrated Urban Database in Asia"
   
4. Promotion of information sharing on urban environment in Asia among the Asian researchers and professionals involved in urban environmental issues and policy, through internet
   
5. Collaboration with related academic institutions in Japan and abroad
   
6. Promotion of research related to urban environment

1. "Regular member"
   Individuals who agreed the purpose of this institution and joined it
   
2. "Student associate member"
   Students who agreed the purpose of this institution and joined it
   
3. "Supporting member"
   Individuals or organizations which agreed the purpose of this institution and donated it

   Individuals who highly contributed to achieve the purpose of this institution
